Our trip from Barcelona to uk was very very hard! But the most important, hotel was included for my two pets (cat and dog)and we paid again after a call with Jeremy , he was neurotic and very very out of control, not polite at all! one month after our trip our bank called to acept a transaction in France, it was Pet taxi transport trying to pay a hotel with our datails.....l didnt want to think or blame much just didnt want to recommend pet taxi transport to anyone, and now after a year l could see he was taking money from more people's cards and having playing so incompetently .....two dog had died on his trips....is a long sad history! l wish the best for him...Mr Jeremy, to keep away from animals and to learn how to be a good man.....karma is karma Jeremy, respect life in all senses and things will go good for you! God bless! Cristina

I booked with Pet Taxi Transport to bring my 3 cats from Spain to the UK and also paid an extra 300 euros for myself and a friend to accompany the pets. Jeremy, the owner of the company, was extremely difficult to contact during the months leading up to the trip - many emails or phone calls were required before finally getting any response. However, he had been recommended (!) so I went ahead with the booking. I had to tolerate an extremely rude, hysterical phone call from him 3 days before the trip, accusing me of not having sent documents which he had never asked for. By this time all my plans for returning to the UK were in place so I was not in a position to cancel, although that is what I would normally have done in such a situation. On the day of the trip, Jeremy was 14 hours late (collecting us at 4 am because he had opted to take a last-minute extra job before picking us up). He admitted he hadn´t slept for 2 days - clearly doing back-to-back trips, having lost a driver. Within half an hour of setting off, he began nodding off at the wheel, driving with his head out the window, etc and we had to insist that he pulled into a car park. An hour from my house, the van broke down completely and we ended up sitting in a deserted car park at 5 am while J had a nap. When I asked him how he was going to get us home he said he didn´t know what to do about myself and friend but he would take the pets back to his home in Malaga and reschedule the trip for the next week. We then had to dash to Seville airport and pay 580 pounds for flights back to the UK. I got my pets a week later. I am still trying to get some financial compensation from Jeremy but he is proving to be extremely rude, belligerent and out of control. Moreover, I am in the process of finding out which organisations/authorities I can report him to for the standard of his service. Crammed into his old wreck of a van were my 3 cats, one tiny kitten and 3 dogs - all in cages with no divisions in the van to guard against airborne diseases. His van was not roadworthy and he was in no fit state to drive. I have to agree with the writer of the previous review that he is an thoroughly unpleasant, arrogant and aggressive man who clearly should not be allowed to advertise his ´service´. I hope everyone who reads this passes on the information to as many pet owners in Spain as possible.

I had the unfortunate experience of using Pet transport AFTER having been let down very badly by another company in Andalucia, for which I have just written a review but in case you don;t read it, then don't use this company either. http://www.spanishmoves.net/petzbackhome.html Pet transport knowing i had lost money, been let down by the other company and being left completely traumatized and mistrustful of pet courriers assured me that their service was impeccable. I beg to differ. I was promised a people carrier, so I could travel with my two cats and a very experienced driver to deal with me given my circumstances. i was sent a normal car with the back seats pulled out, a driver who hadn't slept for three days and who complained the whole way about the conditions of service, of the fact he got paid very little and told me of the various animals who had died or been lost on previous journeys. this was all in the first few hours of being in the car. Jeremy was a complete and utter idiot, from the word go, saying the people carrier had been held up elsewhere, which the driver told me was a lie, it didn't exist. Of the 1,300 euros I was paying for travel only, the driver was being paid 200 euros. He had no money to eat on the journey, only stopped for breaks when i insisted, drove for two and half days only drinking coffee and smoking cigars in the car, until I insisted on paying for a meal for him. He hardly had enough money for petrol and was saying he didn't know how he would get back to England after dropping me off in Scotland. I didn't care by this point, I had so much hassle i didn't see it as my responsibility and I had already paid, twice by now for me. I got home, is all I can say. My cats were safe ONLY because i had traveled with them, thank God, after the stories I heard. I lost money to the first company who let me down and I feel i only just got in this car as i was desperate. i would not recommend them. I also heard from the driver that there have been many complaints, but that Jeremy pays the local newspaper not to print the stories. A disaster..

We booked our dog Gypsy to travel with this company in Jan 2013 for the 14th March 2013, but after filling out all the forms and paying the deposit we found some of the reviews and comment on this company. We ran them up and asked if we could see the vehicle they would be traveling in and get some more information about the trip. We did panic a bit about it all and my girlfriend was in hysterics at one point so I decided to call up and arrange to travel with Gypsy to make sure there were no issues. After everything we'd heard, we feared the worst. Anyway, they must have taken on board everything that has been said as the vehicle that turned up was perfect for the trip. I'd been expecting some manky old van with holes in it from what I'd see online, but instead it was a modified transit van, carpeted in the back with extra seats, like a little minibus. They turned up nice and early in the morning, had us in France by the evening and we stopped in a really nice hotel in Bayonne for the night. The driver - Mark - had obviously been there before as the staff seemed to know him quite well and he even showed me the best place to take Gypsy for a nice long walk away from the traffic. Next morning we got up early, had breakfast and drove up to Calais. There were loads of stops along the way, and the driver seemed to know the best places to go so I could walk Gyps away from the traffic. We went over on the euro tunnel so she didn't have to be left alone and then continued up to another pet hotel on the way towards London. The place was amazing, big gardens for her to stretch her legs and safe enough for there to be no need for a lead. Next morning it was another early start and up to Scotland. We finally arrived at about 9ish. I thought the trips was brilliant and considering the distance (2,000 miles + the ferry), the price was incredibly reasonable. Despite our initial concerns, both myself and my girlfriend Caroline would be happy to recommend them to anyone looking to transport their animals. I was particularly impressed with the driver and how he conducted the trip.

I read with great interest the latest review for Pet Taxi Transport and have to register my amazement at anyone even thinking of using this company after reading the previous reviews. However, it does seem that the success of the trip was down to the driver (who was most certainly not the offensive Jeremy). When we travelled, Jeremy admitted he had lost his current driver and, if the driver was treated the way he treated us - his clients - I am not surprised he was left in the lurch. Mark states that he believes J had taken on board all the previous comments. If this is the case, then why has he ignored all requests for reimbursement of the extra costs I paid to accompany the pets? Moreover, he processed my credit card payment through a different company from Pet Taxi Transport - a company called One Way Van Hire. Because of this, any attempts by my credit card company to reclaim my costs have failed because he has broken the chain. I didn´t think at the time to be suspicious of this. Interesting also to read that the departure point mentioned by Mark is the same area in Malaga City where Jeremy lives and has his business address.

This is really interesting! It's been three years since our beloved Sophia was transported over to the UK by Jeremy's team. At the time, it seemed impossible to happen, as we were running out of time to arrange transport and nobody was leaving around times that were suitable. Jeremy said that a member of his team would look after her at their house, which at the time was our only option. I had heard horror stories, and we were absolutely sick with worry that she would be dumped on the side of the road once they had the money or anything. Yes, Jeremy was terrible at getting in touch, and I felt like I was harassing him all the time. When Sophie finally arrived, she was in good condition, happy (although obviously confused) and clearly loved. She ADORED the drivers, who showed much love and affection towards her. There were phone calls from the driver's girlfriend because they had loved her so much and they wanted to know she was safe, and they stayed for a cup of coffee before heading on their way again. Perhaps, given the lack of contact, I wouldn't recommend the company, but I am sure that Sophie (who is terrified of men) would recommend the drivers.
